1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the DeniedPixels browser extension and related services (“Service”) operated by DeniedPixels (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, accessing, or using DeniedPixels, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
DeniedPixels is a browser extension that uses on-device artificial intelligence to detect and censor not-safe-for-work (NSFW) content in images and videos on webpages. All image analysis occurs entirely within your browser — no images are ever uploaded to our servers or any third party.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use DeniedPixels. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
4. Account Registration
To access premium features, you must create an account and purchase a subscription. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
5. Subscription Plans & Pricing
DeniedPixels offers the following tiers:
- Free: Basic censoring with limited features
- Basic: Extended features including additional censor styles and site blocking
- Premium: Full access to all features including shared remote control, all censor styles, and priority support
Prices are displayed on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time. Any price changes will not affect active subscriptions until renewal.
For iOS/Safari users, subscriptions are available as In-App Purchases through the Apple App Store: Basic Monthly ($4.99), Basic Yearly ($49.99), Premium Monthly ($9.99), and Premium Yearly ($99.99). Prices may vary by region based on Apple’s pricing tiers.
6. Billing & Payments
All payments are processed securely through Whop. By subscribing, you agree to:
- Provide valid payment information
- Authorize recurring charges at your subscription interval
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
iOS/Safari purchases: Payments for iOS subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Apple’s terms apply: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us.
7. License Keys & Device Activations
Upon purchase, you receive a license key that can be activated on a limited number of devices based on your plan:
- Each license key may be activated on 1 device at a time
- You may deactivate and reactivate on a different device as needed
License keys are for personal use only and may not be shared, resold, or distributed. We reserve the right to deactivate licenses that violate these terms.
iOS/Safari users do not use license keys. Subscription status is managed automatically through Apple’s App Store. Premium features activate based on your active In-App Purchase — no account or license key required.
8. Shared Access Feature
Premium users may invite one trusted person (“Controller”) to remotely manage their extension settings via the Shared Access feature. By using this feature:
- The owner consents to having their settings modified by the invited controller
- The controller agrees to use this access responsibly and only as authorized by the owner
- Either party may revoke shared access at any time
- We are not responsible for any settings changes made by a controller
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or its AI models
- Circumvent or disable any security or access-control features
- Use the Service to facilitate illegal activity
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the Service or any part of it
- Attempt to extract, copy, or replicate the AI detection models
- Use automated tools to abuse our licensing or API systems
10. Intellectual Property
All content, code, AI models, designs, trademarks, and other intellectual property associated with DeniedPixels are owned by us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
11. Privacy
Your privacy is fundamental to our service. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information. The key principle: all image and video analysis happens on your device. We never see, collect, or store the content you browse.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Specifically:
- We do not guarantee that the AI detection will identify all NSFW content or that it will be 100% accurate
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
- The extension may not work on all websites or with all types of content
- Browser updates or website changes may temporarily affect functionality
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DeniedPixels and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DeniedPixels from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to other users or our business. Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Service is immediately revoked
- No refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period if terminated for cause
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or in-app notification.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
